Dads and Kids Camp 24-25 Oct 2025 - Bush Walk and High Ropes Course, Dwellingup

Join us for an unforgettable weekend of camping, bushwalking, bacon and egg breakfasting, climbing, swinging, and flying through the trees at Treetops Adventure, Dwellingup, organised by our Richmond Primary School DORKs group.

Dad role providers and kids from Kindy to Year 6 are welcome to attend! Expect a mix of exciting aerial challenges, ziplines, and fun in the forest - perfect for building confidence and great memories.

Accomodation

Many of us will stay in and around the Dwellingup area the afternoon and evening before, with the closest camping at Nanga Brook Campground, immediately adjacent to Treetops Adventure, with sites roughly $25 per night. It is up to each family to arrange their accommodation.

Accommodation options include: 

• Camping at Nanga Brook (walkable to Treetops) or another campground in Lane Pool Reserve - https://exploreparks.dbca.wa.gov.au/site/nanga-brook-campground
• Staying in Dwellingup centre (short drive).
• Driving up from Perth on the day to be part of the tree top adventure (around 1hr 30mins drive).

All arrangements such as travel, food, water, camping/walking gear, etc will be down to individuals to organise and bring what they need.

Treetops Adventure!

👉Please note:

• Juniors (ages 3–7) require adult supervision from the ground (free ticket for supervising adults).
• Children (8–13) must be accompanied on the course by a climbing adult with their own ticket in a maximum ratio of 4 to 1.
• If you have a Junior (3-7) and a Child (8+), then you must arrange for one of them to be supervised by another dad prior to the day. I recommend that if you have a junior, you supervise them from the ground, and get your older kid to buddy with friends and a willing dad. 
• Harnessing and safety training are provided at the start of the session.

🏕️ For those attending on Saturday, we will have a Dads and Kids Bushwalk from the carpark closest to the entrance to Nanga Brook Campsite. Please let us know how many are coming on the bushwalk by booking a free ticket below for each family member.
