Dads and Kids Bush Walk and High Ropes Course, Dwellingup 23-24 Nov 24
Treetops Adventures
23-11-2024 12:00 – 24-11-2024 14:00
The Dads and Kids Bush Walk and High Ropes adventure trip is going ahead on the weekend of 23-24 November 24...!
We will base ourselves at Nanga Brook in Dwellingup and from there we will do a bush walk on the Saturday and the high ropes course at Treetops Adventure on the Sunday.
Having the event across two days enables you to travel down for either or both of the activities, with the option of staying down in Dwellingup on the Saturday night. Both activities are open to all kids from Kindy to Yr 6.
The Bush Walk is free, yay! We'll start at approximately 2pm on the Saturday and we will lead and supervise the bush walk ourselves, with options for all ages and abilities. Some of us can take a leisurely stroll by the river and others can do a long hike if they wish!
The High Ropes Course will be on Sunday, from 10am to 1pm. It is run by Treetops Adventure and has its own rules and requirements, dependent on age and ability. Please visit their website and read ALL the rules and requirements, to make sure you're familiar with the courses available to you and your kids.
The Junior courses for 3-7 yrs require supervision from the ground, adults are not permitted to climb these courses. The Child courses for 8+ yrs require adults to supervise the kids and climb with them. We will definitely have the required supervision ratios of adults to kids - so we can share the supervison and allow all Dads and kids that want to climb (or don't want to climb!) to do so! Please also complete the online WAIVER form before you arrive for the ropes course.
Here are the links to the Treetops Adventure information and the Waiver Form:
https://treetopsadventure.com.au/location/wa-dwellingup/
https://booking.treetopsadventure.com.au/#/waiver_kiosk/4/856382/step
Adults supervising only, and kids not climbing, are free. Otherwise, costs for CLIMBING on the ropes course are $65 per Adult, $55 per Child (8+ yrs) and $32 per Junior (3-7 yrs). Please book your tickets here on TidyHQ (Tickets button below) as we have a group reservation already set up and paid for. (Please DO NOT book directly with Treetops Adventure!)
For those wishing to stay on the Saturday night, the Nanga Brook campsite is immediately adjacent to Treetops Adventure, with sites roughly $30 per night. Lane Poole Reserve entry is about $17 per vehicle. Feel free to bring your bikes, kayaks, fishing gear, firewood, etc and make the most of the campground and surrounds!
All other arrangements such as travel, accommodation, food, camping/walking gear, etc will be down to individual Dads, to organise and bring what they need.
Ready to get out there and have fun...??!!! ...then book your tickets below for the Bush Walk and/or High Ropes course!
